How It All Started

It all started one day with a conversation between two sisters and their mom. They were talking about things like, “Why can’t we find clothes like we wear?” “Why do we have to drive so far for cute western shirts?” Wheels started to turn, and one of them suggested “Let’s make vintage T-Shirts from home and sell them at events”. Little did they know that conversation would spark a much larger idea.

As they sat down and started looking at t-shirt patterns, equipment, supplies, anything to get this little idea rolling; they found themselves bringing up even more ideas. “What about making this an online boutique”. “How about not selling just t-shirts, what about cute western tops”, “what about boots, and jeans”. The dreams and ideas were getting bigger and bigger. The excitement was taking over.

They started looking into what it would take to open an online boutique. Made plans to convert one of the bedrooms in their mom’s house to be the location of the boutique items. The flooring went down, painting took place. Then things started to slow down while they thought more about what comes with having an online boutique from your home. “What if customers want to try something on”, “What if they want to feel and see the quality of an item”, “Would they feel comfortable coming to someone’s home and would we feel comfortable allowing them to”. It kind of came to a halt as it got overwhelming and too many doubts of this being successful took place.

But this mom is no ordinary mom. While working both, a full time and part time job; she went back to school to be a nurse. After she graduated and passed state boards, she started working as a nurse while continuing to work her full-time job. She has tried to set a great example for her daughters. Someone to look up to, Someone to be proud of. She taught them to work hard, recognize their potential, and to never give up on their dreams.

So, that is what they did, didn’t give up. In late 2022, they started discussing the possibility of opening a brick and moter. If they were going to do this, they were going to do it right. They started touring spaces that were available. Paperwork was filed with the state for their business name.  Business accounts were opened. And just like that they found themselves with a plan and moving forward.

A location was settled upon, in the little town of Nashville, NC. All three were born and raised in Nash County and the conversation started at one of their kitchen tables in town. So, what better place to start their business. Inventory grew and grew as the idea of having a store front was happening. “Why just sell women’s clothes, let’s sell men’s too, and kids”. “Got to have accessories”. They went from what started as just women’s T-shirts to clothing and accessories for women, men and kids.

Before they knew it, the logo was designed, the sign was hung. The store was decorated and stocked. And in min 2023, opening day finally approached. This conversation that took place several months back has become the biggest adventure that this mom and her 2 daughters could have ever wished for.
